Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe

INSTRUCTION

1. Please, kindly share this prayer so that other people/families can partake in it.

2. You are encouraged to pray with members of your family.

3. The prayer can be said for 9, 12, 21, 30, 60 and 90 days. You are to personally decide how long you choose to say the prayer.

4. Make sure you are in the state of grace before you begin. If not, go for confession.

5. Be vocal/audible during the prayer.

6. This prayer can be said anytime, but it is recommended that you say it at night (Anytime before 6am).

7. Fasting is recommended but not compulsory.

8. You are encouraged to book/request Holy Mass for your family.

9. You are encouraged to close/end the novena with Charity/charitable activity.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Our Lady of Guadalupe is chronologically the first Vatican-approved Marian Apparition, taking place in 1531.

In the sixteenth century, the Blessed Virgin, moved with pity for the Aztec people who, living in the darkness of idolatry, offered to their idols multitudes of human victims. She took into her own hands the evangelization of these people who were also her children.

The most famous rituals was that of human sacrifices, which was performed during ceremonies for their gods (About 50 – 200 thousand people were sacrificed yearly).

Through the Apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Nine years later, about nine million Native Americans had converted to the Christian faith-nearly 3,000 a day!

In this Novena, we pray for the deliverance, liberation, healing and restoration of our families and ancestral roots and foundations through Our Lady of Guadalupe.

INTRODUCTORY PRAYER

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Come Holy Ghost, fill the hearts of the faithful, and kindle in them the fire of thy love.
V. Send forth thy spirit, and they shall be created.
R. And thou shall renew the face of the earth.

LET US PRAY
Oh God, who by the light of the Holy Ghost, didst instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that in the same spirit we may be truly wise, and ever rejoice in His consolation, through Christ our lord. Amen.
V. Thou, o Lord will open my lips.
R. And my tongue shall announce Thy praise.
V. Incline unto my aid, o God.
R. Oh lord, make haste to help me.
V. Glory be to the Father, etc.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of Christ and Ark of the Covenant, I come before you asking for your help and intercession over my life and family. I ask for your presence and that of my Lord Jesus Christ as I pray. Our Lady of Guadalupe, come into my family; please visit my family with the light of Christ which you carry in abundance. Holy Spirit, I ask for your grace, energy, power and strength. Fill my prayers and all my utterances throughout this prayer, with a full overflowing measure of your great power and ultimate authority. Do damage to the powers of darkness operating in my family root and foundation with your consuming fire. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, I call upon Saint Michael the Archangel of God and all the mighty holy Angels in the choir of the Seraphim, Cherubim, Thrones, Dominations, Principalities, Powers, Virtues, Archangels and Angels. I beckon upon you all to assist me and my family. I open the spiritual gates and doors of my family to you all, asking you to come with great power and mandate from God, for the liberation and cleansing of my family roots and foundation with the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.

FAMILY PRAYER FOR MERCY

Have mercy on us, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out our transgressions. Wash away all our iniquity and cleanse us from our sins. For we know our transgressions, and our sins are always before us. Against you, you only, have we sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge. Surely we were sinful at birth, sinful from the time our mother conceived us. Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught us wisdom in that secret place. Cleanse us with hyssop, and we will be clean; wash us, and we will be whiter than snow. Let us hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from our sins and blot out all our iniquity. Create in us a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. Do not cast us from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of your salvation and grant us a willing spirit, to sustain us. Then we will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you. Deliver us from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and our tongue will sing of your righteousness. Open our lips, Lord, and our mouth will declare your praise. You do not delight in sacrifice, or we would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. Our sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. May it please you to prosper Zion, to build up the walls of Jerusalem. Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous, in burnt offerings offered whole; then bulls will be offered on your altar. Amen.

God Almighty Father in Heaven, I ask for mercy upon my family, lineage, roots and foundation. For the sake of the Most Precious Body and Blood of your only begotten Son Jesus Christ, have mercy upon us and wash away our sins. For the sake of the sorrowful passion and death of your Son Jesus Christ on the cross, have mercy upon my family. I ask for the forgiveness of my sins, I ask for the forgiveness of the sins of every member of my family, I ask for the forgiveness of the sins of my grandparents and all my ancestors. I appease you Lord God Almighty with the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, for all the atrocities committed in my family and by members of my family dead or alive. I offer the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ for my entire family tree, in atonement for every crime, evil and injustice carried out against anyone and against you. Lord God Almighty, please forgive every sin and abomination committed by my ancestors which is affecting my entire family, for the sake of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. Our lady of Guadalupe, I call upon you with all my heart. Please, help us intercede before the throne of God for the cleansing of my family tree and roots of all sins. Mother of mercy; do not leave the presence of God until mercy is shown to my family. Our Lady of Guadalupe, let the ocean of God’s mercy through you, cover my entire family, roots and foundation and may it put us right with God, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

FAMILY PRAYER AGAINST CURSES

In Ezekiel 18:1-4 the word of God says: “The word of God came unto me again, saying, What do you mean, that you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge? As I live, saith the Lord God, you shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel. Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: The soul who sins is the one who will die.”

Lord God Almighty, in your word in Ezekiel 18 verse 1 to 4, you said that you will not punish children for the sins of their ancestors. Lord, remember your word and have mercy on my family; please, do not punish us for the sins of our ancestors. Everything that was done by my ancestors that has brought curse upon my family, Lord God, please remember your word and lift my family from it. Lord, remember you said in Ezekiel 18 verse 4: “The soul who sins is the one who will die.” Please Lord of mercy, do not let us suffer or partake in curses for crimes we never committed. God of Justice, have mercy on my family and deliver us by your power and mercy from curses, which are entangled with our family roots and foundation. I call upon the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ upon my family, for deliverance and liberation from every curse that is active in my family, causing pains and sorrow.

Our lady of Guadalupe, I call upon you and present my family to you, have mercy and come to our aid (Repeat 3 times).

Our lady of Guadalupe, deliver my family from curses by the power and authority in the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ (Repeat 3 times).

Our lady of Guadalupe, break every curse in my family by the power and authority in the mighty name of Jesus Christ (Repeat 3 times).

Our lady of Guadalupe, liberate my family from every curse that has brought darkness upon my family by the power and authority in the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ (Repeat 7 times).

FAMILY PRAYER AGAINST ALTARS

In Judges 6:25-27 the living word of God says: “Now on the same night the Lord said to him, “Take your father’s bull and a second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Baal which belongs to your father, and cut down the Asherah that is beside it; and build an altar to the Lord your God on the top of this stronghold in an orderly manner, and take a second bull and offer a burnt offering with the wood of the Asherah which you shall cut down.” Then Gideon took ten men of his servants and did as the Lord had spoken to him; and because he was too afraid of his father’s household and the men of the city to do it by day, he did it by night.

Lord God Almighty king of glory, I worship your majesty and praise you. Lord, in the book of Judges 6:25-27, you told Gideon to destroy the altar of Baal and Asherah that was in his father’s house. This shows that you do not condone the presence of evil altars in the family of your children. Lord, you hate idols and idolatry. As your child, I have come to let you know that I renounce and reject every evil altars in my family, instituted by any member of my family dead or alive. Father, I ask that you destroy every evil altars existing in my family.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, mighty Queen, I call upon you and all the angels in the nine angelic choirs into my family, for the destruction of every evil altars existing in my family.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, I beg you to destroy along with all the holy angels every evil altars in my family in the same way you destroyed idolatry in the Aztec empire.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, arise with all the mighty angels in heaven and destroy every evil foundation in my family by the power and authority in the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ (Repeat 3 times).

Galatians 5:1 says: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Isaiah 43:18-19 says: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Lord God Almighty Father in Haven, I call upon you, asking for the deliverance and liberation of my family from bondage and captivity. Lord God Almighty, remember that Jesus said in Luke 4:18: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.”

Lord Jesus Christ, deliver my family from spiritual imprisonment and oppression of darkness by your power and authority (Repeat 3 times).

Lord Jesus Christ, I call upon your mighty cross of sacrifice into my family for our total liberation and freedom (Repeat 3 times).

Lord Jesus Christ, arise in great and mighty power and bind every spirits, demons and deities operating in my family with your Most Precious Body and Blood. (Repeat 3 times).

Our Lady of Guadalupe, you are the Ark of the Covenant. I usher you into my family and ask you to reign with your Son Jesus Christ.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, arise in power and break every bond and chains of oppression in my family (Repeat 3 times).

Our Lady of Guadalupe, arise in great power and destroy every yoke and limitation upon my family. (Repeat 3 times).

Our Lady of Guadalupe, arise against every demon, spirit and deities ushered into my family by my ancestors, bind them mightily with the Most Precious Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. (Repeat 3 times).

Our Lady of Guadalupe, grant us total liberation and freedom in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. (Repeat 3 times).

FAMILY PRAYER FOR TOTAL RECOVERY AND RESTORATION

2 Corinthians 5:17 says: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Zechariah 9:12 says: “Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.”

Psalms 71:20-21 says: “Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more.”

Joel 2:25-26 says: “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten- the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm - my great army that I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.”

Lord God Almighty King, I come to you praying for the revival and restoration of my family and the recovery of all our blessing.

Restore unto my family all that the locust has eaten. (Repeat 3 times).

Restore all our lost seasons and our wasted years. (Repeat 3 times).

Exhume and restore all about me and all that belongs to my family that has been buried. (Repeat 3 times).

Lord Jesus Christ, recover all that belongs to my family in the hands of the evil ones, and in the domain of darkness, by the power and authority in your Most Precious Body and Blood. (Repeat 3 times).

Our Lady of Guadalupe, recover everything that has been stolen from my family by the devil and all his agents. (Repeat 3 times).

Our lady of Guadalupe, recover the destiny and all the blessings of my family.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, revive and restore everything that is dead in my family with the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. (Repeat 3 times).

FAMILY PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

Psalm 95: “Let Us Sing Songs of Praise: Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.
